I investigate molecular mechanisms that are at the basis of Hox transcription factors specificity by implementing chromatin immunoprecipitation followed by high-throughput sequencing (ChIP-seq) in Drosophila. Postdoctoral Research Associate Office Phone: +44 (0) 1223333890 Research Interests I am fascinated by the roles of gene expression regulation and evolvability in different biological processes, from adaptation and evolution to development and disease. During my current research project, I have the chance to deeply explore how transcription factors, the main actors behind the process of regulation of gene expression, achieve their target specificity in the genome and how chromatin accessibility and cofactors also mediate this process.
