Data Science: The 21st Century’s ‘Plastics’

In the 1960’s classic, The Graduate, a veteran of corporate America offers his mentee career advice in one word: plastics. Perhaps if this movie were to be remade today the advice would be two words: data science. Named “the sexiest job of the 21st century” by the Harvard Business Review in 2012, Mashable’s hottest profession of 2015, and Glassdoor’s most popular job 2016, data scientists are the just broaching the frontier of what’s possible.
