Data Science Machine can replace the human’s intuition

All the teams were assigned the task to find predictive patterns in unfamiliar data sets. Human Intuition was till date considered to be an important part of Big Data analysis. However, Massachusetts Institute of Technology researchers has now developed a system they have named Data Science Machine. MIT researchers have designed a big-data analysis system which aims to replace human intuition in the search for buried patterns. To examine the first prototype of their system, they registered it in three data science competitions, where they contested against human teams to detect predictive patterns in unaccustomed arrays of data. “We view the Data Science Machine as a natural complement to human intelligence”, said Max Kanter, one of the researchers, in a news release.
