©Dreamstime The north London borough of Enfield is set to become an unlikely pioneer in using artificial intelligence in the workplace, as the local council becomes the first government body to recruit a “virtual employee” for frontline services. Enfield Council is working with IPsoft, a New York-based technology company, to deploy Amelia, a so-called “cognitive agent”.
