THE SCOURGE of circling Brighton and Hove in search of a prized car parking space might become a thing of the past with a trial of new technology. Brighton and Hove City Council is considering bringing new technology to the city to help motorists find free car parking spaces in a bid to drive down congestion and air pollution. The company behind the proposed trial has labelled the technology as “the most advanced system in the world” capable of predicting when parking spaces might be available in the future. The £1 million trial is being funded by the Government innovation agency Innovate UK.
