Columbia University, Department of Neuroscience

The Department of Neuroscience at Columbia University is currently recruiting faculty in the neurosciences. Areas of interest include research programs that: 1) employ genetic, genomic and evolutionary approaches to understand the neural basis of behavior; 2) exploit or develop state-of-the-art optical, chemical, electrical or computational methodology to link neural circuitry to behavior, especially in genetically-tractable mammalian model systems; 3) combine computational, behavioral and physiological approaches to study cognitive processes; and 4) explore emerging issues in molecular, cellular, and developmental neurosciences.  Columbia University has an exceptionally strong and broad program in the neurosciences and aims to enhance interactions between basic and clinical research, and to link the neurosciences with a wide range of other disciplines within the University.  New faculty will be affiliated with the Department of Neuroscience and the Doctoral…
