Clinton blanks Rattlers, 6-0

GRAND CHUTE, WI – The Clinton LumberKings came up with some big hits in the middle of Tuesday’s game with the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers at Neuroscience Group Field at Fox Cities Stadium. Those hits were big enough to support four pitchers combining six-hit shutout and propel the LumberKings past the Rattlers 6-0. Clinton (31-26) got on the scoreboard in the fifth inning. Wisconsin Timber Rattlers starting pitcher David Burkhalter had been cruising. After allowing a leadoff double to start the game, Burkhalter retired the next twelve batters he faced. Dalton Kelly snapped that streak with a leadoff in the fifth. Logan Taylor was next and he homered to left to put the LumberKings up 2-0. Alex Jackson started the LumberKings sixth inning with a double off the wall in left-center.…
