‘Brain Week’ events designed to inspire the next generation of neuroscientists

PROVIDENCE – Rhode Island’s rapidly expanding neuroscience community will be showcased in performances, panels, movies, storytelling and more during the state’s inaugural Brain Week, sponsored by several of the area’s leading medical, scientific and advocacy organizations. Among the topics that will be explored during the week — which starts Saturday and actually extends beyond seven days — are neuro-scientific research, memory, concussion, expressive arts and mental illness, including bipolar disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder.
