Boosting IoT focus on campus

A new Internet of Things institute at Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) will focus on data science, embedded systems, cybersecurity, and more. The Institute for Smart, Secure and Connected Systems (ISSACS) will consolidate a number of ongoing initiatives, including two Department of Education-funded initiatives to develop smart sensors for energy-efficient buildings and new algorithms for managing solar energy systems, along with initiatives in advanced manufacturing and efforts to build stronger cybersecurity education and research programs in Northeast Ohio.
