April HPC User Forum to Tackle Deep Learning, HPC in the Cloud, and More

IDC released the preliminary agenda for this spring’s HPC User Forum, held April 11-13 in Tucson, AZ. Deep Learning, HPC in the Cloud, and NSCI are among the themes being tackled. There’s also a technology update from Intel and a look at HPC in Europe on the agenda. “HPC technologies and methods have been advancing the state of the art in machine learning, deep learning and other advanced data analytics applications. The April meeting will explore where things stand in this part of the HPDA market and where they’re headed,” said Steve Conway, IDC Research Vice President, HPC/HPDA and Steering Committee, HPC User Forum. “One-quarter of HPC sites already exploit public clouds, although on average they send under 10% of their HPC workloads in that direction today.
