Appomattox students earn national contest win with software idea

Like a story out of Silicon Valley, four Appomattox County High School students and their coach are ready to start their own business, after winning accolades for their idea for a company that pairs students and teachers based on their learning and teaching styles. Just last week, the ACHS SkillsUSA team consisting of junior Nathan Simpson, seniors Nicholas Walton, Geoffrey Zdgiebloski and recent graduate Brian Rubio won the national SkillsUSA Competition in the entrepreneurship category.
