AndelaTech training company partners IBM to train 1 million students via Big Data University

Andela has announced a partnership with Big Data University, an IBM initiative that seeks to train 1 million data scientists around the world within the next ten years. Big Data University was launched in 2015 and it offers free courses on big data and databases. Each course is followed by a knowledge assessment exam of sorts, and if a student passes it, they earn a certificate of achievement from IBM which they can show at their next job interview. According to Innovation Village, two developers from Andela joined IBM in January to build the new Big Data University site and course management platform, with an additional two on-boarding this month.
