Amazon.com Inc’s Echo will work with Samsung SmartThings for smarter home
A few weeks back, e-commerce giant Amazon.com Inc (NASDAQ:AMZN) has released a separate SDK for its voice controlled speaker, Echo. Echo is not only a voice controlled speaker, but also it acts as a unique voice command based personal assistant. After the release of the SDK, which consists of a set of predefined functions as well as a blueprint for the programmer – who can program his own code for the Echo, Samsung SmartThings has made an announcement that the company adds support for the Amazon’s product.
SmartThings announced the information regarding the support for Amazon’s Echo on its official blog post, and the integration between the two main things be globally announced, just few weeks before the launch of next-generation SmartThings’ Hub. Currently, SmartThings Hub is available for preorder, and the company announced that, the support for the Amazon’s Hub is provided for both the old one and upcoming one.
